The Essential David Crowder Band: The Final Four and The Championship

The time has come.  We're down to four, and after this, we will have it all.  Crowder's top song ever.  Let's see how it goes.

#1 No One Like You (Live) VS #5 A Beautiful Collision
This is that match-up where the feel-good, Cinderella story of the tournament just gets absolutely slaughtered by the far superior talent.  Don't get me wrong, A Beautiful Collision is a truly excellent song.  This is obvious by the fact that it's even in the Final Four.  But it's just not on the same level as No One Like You.  No One Like You, particularly live, is an experience, and an experience I wish everyone would get the chance to have.  The closes we can get now is this track, and it does the live experience justice.

#1 How He Loves VS #1 All Creatures #2 
Now this one is a pretty nice battle of heavyweights.  All Creatures is a great track.  It's so good, in fact, that Crowder did a few different versions of it that made it to albums.  It is clearly a favorite of the band, that they would place it on a record multiple times (And that they would go back and attempt to make it better (And succeed in doing so)).  How He Loves is clearly a favorite of the band as well.  That they would make a version of someone else's song not just a single, but the lead single to a CD speaks volumes.  These two are definitely close.  Ultimately, I'm going to give the slight edge to How He Loves.  Crowder's version is a truly flawless song in this man's opinion, and it deserves some major props.

So, here it is; the championship match-up:
#1 No One Like You (Live) VS #1 How He Loves
So, so close.  Both of these songs are incredible.  To choose just one seems unfair.  And yet, there can only be one.  So, which to choose.  The difference here is simply this: As amazing as How He Loves is, it is the fact that it is not an original that finally does it in here.  The arrangement is flawless.  The vocals are superb.  But the lyrics are not their own.  No One Like You is.  You hear it and you think "Crowder."  Other versions of this track have been done.  They just don't compare.  And that is probably the biggest difference.  There are some really good versions of How He Loves; Crowder's is the best.  But there have yet to be any versions of No One Like You that even come close to this track.  And that's the difference.
