The Essential David Crowder Band: The Round of 64, Part 3

Here are Part 1 and Part 2 in case you missed them.  Now, we move on to Part 3: The "Worship Team" Region.

#1 How He Loves VS #16 The Glory Of It All
Once again, the 1v16 match-up isn't really close.  How He Loves is highly likely to go far in this tournament, and is still one of the best worship songs in recent memory.  The Glory Of It All is easily forgettable (By comparison, anyway).

#2 O Praise Him (All This For A King) VS #15 Everything Glorious
This one is slightly closer, because Everything Glorious is a terrific worship song.  That being said, O Praise Him is right on part with How He Loves as one of the best worship songs of the last decade or so.  That's obviously a trait that's very difficult to compete with.

#3 Here Is Our King VS #14 Oh, Happiness
Looking at the Top 3 songs alone, I can already tell that this is likely to be a "bracket of death" type scenario.  So many excellent songs in one region, it's going to be hard to choose.  This particular match-up, though, not so much.  Oh, Happiness is a fun song (And a great youth group track), but it doesn't compare to Here Is Our King.  This one's easy.

#4 SMS (Shine) VS #13 Rain Down
Two good tracks.  This match-up is actually kind of difficult.  Rain Down certainly makes a run at this one, but Shine is, ultimately, a superior track.

#5 Our Love Is Loud VS #12 O, For A Thousand Tongues To Sing
This one is very close.  Our Love Is Loud is one of the great early Crowder tracks.  O, For A Thousand Tongues To Sing is an amazing version of an old hymn.  The key to calling this match-up is in the lyrics.  One of my favorite lines of all time comes from one of these songs, and that makes this match-up easier to call; after all, "There are so few words that never grow old...Jesus."

#6 Fall On Your Knees VS #11 Open Skies
On the other hand, this match-up is pretty easy to call, despite the closer seeding.  Open Skies is a solid worship song, but Fall On Your Knees takes it to a different level.  It's easy to call this one.

#7 Let Me Feel You Shine VS #10 Alleluia, Sing
Two great songs, this one is another tough one to call.  Alleluia, Sing has a great build to it, particularly from verse to chorus.  However, Let Me Feel You Shine is strong throughout, and the lyrics are excellent.  This one has to advance.

#8 After All (Holy) VS #9 Eastern Hymn
Two really cool, really different worship tracks here.  Eastern Hymn has a strong, pulsing beat throughout the bulk of the song, with a simple sing-along chorus.  After All is certainly more laid-back by comparison, but it too has it's own defining beat and potentially even simpler sing-along chorus.  The big difference here is in the verses.  Where Eastern Hymn can sometimes be a difficult track to sing along or fully understand the lyrics, After All is a very easy song, but a very deep lyrical song as well.  And because of that, it advances.
